Nanki scores 17 points in Strawberry-26 win

Chandigarh, December 6 

Nanki scored 17 points to help Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, register a 24-12 win over St Anne's School, Sector 32, in the ongoing St Kabir Inter-school Basketball Championship. Ananya scored all the 12 points for the St Anne's team. 

Saupin's School, Sector 32, stunned New Public School, Sector 18, 9-2. Trushi scored seven points for the winning team, while Mannat got two points for New Public School.

St Peter's School, Sector 37, edged past Vivek High School, Mohali, 6-2. Anshikha scored four points for the winning team, while Avneet (two points) was the best performer for Vivek High. Learning Paths School, Mohali, registered an 8-2 win against St Soldiers School, Panchkula. Seerat of Learning Paths School helped her team win by contributing six points. Amaira scored two points for the losing team. In the last match of the day, hosts St Kabir Public School defeated Ashiana Public School, Sector 46, 16-3. Kyna scored 12 points in St Kabir's win. Arshpreet scored three points for the Ashiana girls.

Saupin’s boys log win 

In the boys category, Saupin's School dumped New Public School 26-2. Jastej scripted the win by contributing 10 points. Vaibhav scored two points for the New Public boys. Vivek High School, Sector 38, outplayed St Peter's boys 25-0, while St Kabir Public boys defeated Ashiana Public School 16-7. Strawberry Fields World School went down to Learning Paths School 12-30. Tanish from Learning Paths School scored 18 points in the win. Uday Batra added six points for the Strawberry.—TNS
