Chandigarh, April 20

Ayurvedic doctors from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh will take part in a national ayurvedic workshop, ‘Care & Cure’, at Mansa Devi Temple hall in Panchkula on Sunday.

In a press conference today, BN Kaushal, former Chairman of Haryana Ayurvedic Board, said the quality of ayurvedic medicines was declining day by day although their demand was increasing across the world. It was required to improve the quality of ayurvedic medicines so that India could make a name for itself. Several aspects of nanotechnology would be discussed by experts during the day-long workshop.

Ashok Sharma, former Director, Ayush, Himachal Pradesh, said a lot of research was being carried out in ayurveda across the world, adding that there were many ways like naturopathy to treat patients without leaving any side-effect.
