Chandigarh, October 12
The Chandigarh chapter of the ICCR in collaboration with the Punjab Arts Council (PAC) presented a kathak dance drama ‘navadurga’ by Guru Moumala Nayak and group at Randhawa auditorium here on Friday.
Disciple of Lucknow gharana, kathak legend Birju Maharaj, renowned choreographer and guru Moumala Nayak and her dancers established nine ‘roopas’ of the deity. They were honoured by the ICCR regional director, Pankaj Vohra. — OC
