Congress candidate Manish Tewari and SAD-BJP candidate, Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra, are already back to work after a month of hectic campaigning for the Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha seat.
Chandumajra said the only relaxation for him was that he woke up late around 7 am today. “Earlier, I used to get up at 4 am as I had to meet maximum people in a day for obvious reasons. Today, I woke up late but it’s back to work now,” said Chandumajra while holding a meeting with party workers at his office in Sector 70.
He said after meeting, he had to go for some other party-related work. On his chances of winning the seat again, Chandumajra said yesterday the response of voters in his stronghold areas was encouraging. “I am fully confident of my victory,” he added.
The story was no different for Congress candidate Manish Tewari, who was all set to go to the Punjab and Haryana High Court in connection with a case. Tewari is a practicing lawyer. “I woke up at my normal time. It’s a bit relaxing today, but it’s time to go back to work. I’m going for a court hearing. After that I have some important work to do,” said Tewari, who is currently putting up at Sector 19, Chandigarh. He, too, claimed that he was all set to win the Anandpur Sahib seat.
