Nodal officer issues warning to Sec 26 SHO

CHANDIGARH: The nodal officer has issued a warning to Inspector Poonam Dilawari, SHO of the Sector 26 police station here, after posters and pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were found inside a classroom on the police station premises.

The nodal officer has issued a warning to Inspector Poonam Dilawari, SHO of the Sector 26 police station here, after posters and pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were found inside a classroom on the police station premises.

Sources said the warning had been issued after she filed a reply to the notice issued to her yesterday by the Election Commission that posters of the Prime Minister were found inside a classroom established under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) on the police station premises.

On a report submitted by the team, the Chief Electoral Officer issued a show-cause notice. However, the pictures were removed later.

Flying squad seizes Rs3L

The flying squad of the Election Department has seized Rs 3 lakh from a vehicle in Bapu Dham Colony. Sources said owners of the vehicles had been asked to explain the source of the money. The department had earlier seized over Rs 10 lakh last week. — TNS
