On Day 2, 33 challaned for honking at hospitals

CHANDIGARH: A total of 33 challans were issued by the UT traffic police on the second day of their campaign against honking on the hospital premises.

A total of 33 challans were issued by the UT traffic police on the second day of their campaign against honking on the hospital premises. Out of the 33 challans, 18 pertained to outstation vehicles.

According to the police, 15 challans were issued at the GMCH-32. Seven of these challans were issued against vehicles bearing Chandigarh number. Twelve motorists were fined for honking on the PGI campus. Out of these, eight pertained to outstation vehicles. The traffic staff also fined six motorists at the GMSH in Sector 16. — TNS
