One booked for illegal mining

Dera Bassi: The police have booked a person on the charge of illegal mining here. The accused, Birbal, a resident of Yamunanagar district, was yet to be arrested, said the police.



Dera Bassi: The police have booked a person on the charge of illegal mining here. The accused, Birbal, a resident of Yamunanagar district, was yet to be arrested, said the police.

According to the police, a naka was laid near Ramgarh-Mubarikpur village here on Sunday. Birbal, who was coming from the Ramgarh side with a gravel loaded tipper, was signalled to stop.

The police said he could not produce valid documents about the material loaded in the vehicle. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Mining Act. Further probe is on, said the police. oc
