A fitness workshop was held at the Baradari Gardens under the Mission ‘Tandarust Punjab’, which was launched by the state government to create awareness about the drug epidemic that had engulfed Punjab. The workshop aimed to create general awareness about the essence of a healthy lifestyle.
The young and the not so young, including grandchildren, school going students, doctors, athletes, teachers, policemen, bureaucrats and people from different walks of life took part in the workshop. The chief guest on the occasion was Patiala Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit, who stressed on the importance of a young and healthy Punjab, bereft of drugs and other social ills.
The workshop was conducted by the O2 gym fitness team members, including Honey Muteja, Vipen Rana, Ajay Rana, Sunil Kumar, Harry Singh and others. A fusion of Zumba and Bhangra was the highlight of the event.
