Chandigarh, December 4

Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh, marked its 15 years of inception with a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by enacting a play, ‘Gandhi - Ek Soch’, here today.

The musical narrative was conceptualised, planned and directed by Principal Reema Dewan and Danesh AR Khambatta.

The production traces the making of Gandhi and his voyage of becoming the champion of non-violence. More than 500 students participated in the function, which will conclude on December 6.

The Principal said it had been a great learning experience for the students. They learnt more about Gandhi and India’s freedom struggle than any lesson of history could have taught them by being a part of the annual production.

Parliamentarian Ambika Soni, former Railways Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, DPS, Chandigarh, Uday Soni, and Directors Anoop Soni and Amit Bansal were present on the occasion.
