PPS cagers beat St Peter’s boys 12-5

MOHALI:Police Public School (PPS), Mohali, registered a 12-5 win over St Peter’s School, Sector 37, in the second round of the boys’ U-12 competition on the third day of Bhagwant Singh Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament at the Sector 78 Sports Complex here today.

Police Public School (PPS), Mohali, registered a 12-5 win over St Peter’s School, Sector 37, in the second round of the boys’ U-12 competition on the third day of Bhagwant Singh Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament at the Sector 78 Sports Complex here today. Somveer (six points) was the top scorer for PPS. 

In the girl’s U-12 category, St Kabir Public School, Sector 26, drubbed Vivek High School, Sector 38, 14-2 in the second round. Kyna scored 10 points for St Kabir. 

In another match, Strawberry Fields School, Sector 26, blanked Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, 16-0. Kanisha and Shanaya scored eight points each for Strawberry Fields School.

In the boys’ U-14 second round, Learning Paths School, Mohali, registered a 25-9 win over Saupin’s School, Mohali. Vedansh netted seven points for Learning Paths. 

Meanwhile, Daksh scored 30 points as St Kabir School thrashed Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, 30-2. 

In the girls’ U-14 category, Sacred heart School, Sector 26, defeated St Kabir School 25-4. Pari scored 11 points for Sacred Heart School.

In the boys’ U-16 second round, Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, edged out Shemrock School, Mohali, 45-13. Dharuvraj (21 points) was the top scorer for the Sector 36 outfit. 

Vivek High School, Mohali, recorded a 23-2 win over Shishu Niketan, Mohali. Armaan Sharma contributed five points to the Vivek High School tally.

Strawberry Fields School outplayed Learning Paths School in another boys’ U-16 match. Naman netted 25 points as Strawberry Fields won 44-17.

Vivek High School, Sector 38, overcame St Peter’s School 29-26. Tejbir (13 points) was the lead scorer for Vivek High School.

In the girls’ U-16 competition, Gurasees scored 17 points as Vivek High School, Mohali, beat St Peter’s School 26-4.
