Priya, Savita bag gold in inter-varsity c’ship

Priya of Panjab University won gold medal in the 70kg category event on the opening day of the All India Inter-University Judo Championship for women, here on Monday. Rucha of Savitribai Phule (SP) University, Pune, finished second. Arti of Delhi University and Khyati of SP University claimed joint third position.In the 48kg category, Savita of Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Uttar Pradesh, defeated local contender Bestorani to claim the top position.  Nisha of GNDU, Amritsar, and Mehma Tokas of Delhi University finished their campaign on third position. —TNS
