CHANDIGARH: A prize-distribution ceremony for the pre primary, primary, secondary and senior secondary wings of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, was conducted to honour the students who excelled in various categories.

Saint Soldier, Chandigarh 

A prize-distribution ceremony for the pre primary, primary, secondary and senior secondary wings of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, was conducted to honour the students who excelled in various categories. A total of 911 prizes were given. 

St Xavier’’s School, Chandigarh

National Dengue Day was celebrated at St Xavier’s, Chandigarh. A special morning assembly was conducted wherein students took an oath to take all measures for preventing dengue. 

Doon International, Mohali

Doon International School organised an inter-house swimming competition for Class III and IV. Girls and boys of four houses — Akbar, Ashoka, Ranjit and Teresa — exhibited their swimming skills. Winners were awarded with medals and certificates.

KBDAV, Chandigarh

To spread awareness regarding dengue, KBDAV-7, Chandigarh, organised a programme for students of Class VII. Children were sensitised to the disease and preventive measures.

MDAV, Chandigarh

A healthy tiffin competition was organised on the premises of MDAV School, Chandigarh. The aim of this competition was to spread knowledge about the importance of green vegetables, fruits and nutrition among the students. 

St Teresa Convent, Panchkula

Students of St Teresa Convent, Panchkula, recently visited the blind school in Sector 26, Chandigarh. They witnessed students studying through Braille and were inspired. 

Gurukul Global, Chandigarh 

Gurukul Global School organised a free health check-up camp for its faculty members. Special arrangements were made and a team of doctors with a well-equipped multi-speciality van was present on the school campus. The check-up was done by specialised doctors from the GMCH-32. Principal Urvashi Kakkar was thankful to the school authorities. 

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula 

Young actors of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, displayed a wide array of talent at DC Model School. It was a skit competition organised by the Sri Sathya Sai Organization. The team consisted of Chaitya, Ambika, Akshaj, Manhar, Lavanya, Ananya, Midhavika, Rijul, Adamya, Yuva. The skit was an effort to reignite renaissance in terms of gender sensitisation. The team bagged the second prize.                                                                                     

St Soldier International, Mohali 

St Soldier International Convent School, Phase 7, organised its annual feature, ‘Technothon 2019’, on theme ‘The Catastrophe of Cyclones’. More than 100 students from 15 schools of the tricity participated in the event. Students participated in a colour splash under theme 'A scene of disaster caused by cyclones', poster-making on 'Appeal for Relief Fund', PowerPoint presentation on 'Major cyclones of the world over the last decade'. The bloggers zealously showed their technical powers and writing skills on the theme of 'Disaster management- repercussions and remedial measures'. In the colour splash competition, Kanwarpratap Singh of St Soldier, Mohali, was the winner, whereas the winner of the poster-making competition was Armaan Singh Bakshi of Manav Mangal Smart School, Mohali.
