CHANDIGARH:Puskar Jain and Naina Dutt from Society for the Rehabilitation of the Mentally Challenged (SOREM) claimed the first two positions in the 100m event of the COED (I) division during the Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh Roller skating State Meet here today.

Chandigarh, December 5 

Puskar Jain and Naina Dutt from Society for the Rehabilitation of the Mentally Challenged (SOREM) claimed the first two positions in the 100m event of the COED (I) division during the Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh Roller skating State Meet here today.

In COED (II) division, Sukhmolbir Singh, Rohit Negi and Harshita Sharma (all from SOREM) won the laurels by claiming the first three positions.

Samarth Araya won the COED (III) division gold medal, followed by Karan Sharma at second position and Mannat Sharma at third. Dhruv Arora finished fourth in the category. In COED (IV) division, Manav Jot Singh of Bhavan Vidyalaya (Sector 27) won the top honours, while Saksham Sharma of SOREM claimed the second position. Bulbul Dhingra of Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID) finished third while Shail and Reporno Mondal, both from GRIID, claimed the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Sai Puneet G Naga won the gold medal in the MO1 division, followed by Mehtab Singh at second position. In the MO2 division, Supreet Chaudhary, Manpreet Singh and Daksh Chopra, all from SOREM, claimed the first three positions.

Kariday Kaistha of SOREM claimed the top position in the MO3 division. Bhawan's Jayant Sharma claimed the second spot, and he was followed by Puneet Bansal, Shreyas and Suvrat Jain, all from SOREM.

In the MO4 division, Mandeep Singh (Bhavan-27), Shanveer Singh (SOREM) and Anirudh Singh (Bhavan-27) were the top three finishers.

In the 300m race of COED (I) division, Kriday Kaistha proved his mettle by winning the top position. Naina Dutt finished second and Shanveer Singh claimed the third spot. All three were representing SOREM institute.

In the COED (II) division, Suryansh Chauhan (Bhavan-27), Vaibhav Singh (ASHA Chandimandir) and Mehtab (SOREM) claimed the top three positions.

SOREM's Puneet Bansal won the COED (III) division, while Anirudh Singh and Mandeep Singh (both from Bhavan-27) claimed the second and third positions, respectively. Harshita Sharma and Karan Sharma (both from SOREM) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. —TNS
