Rakhi scores five in GMSSS-18 title win

Striker Rakhi netted five goals as Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 18, grabbed the title in the State Sub-Junior Hockey Championship at the Sector 42 Sports Complex here today.    

In the final, the Sector 18 side logged a 6-0 win against Government Model High School, Sector 25.

Rakhi scored in the fourth and fifth minutes to put pressure on the Sector 25 team.

Priyanka scored the third goal in the ninth minute before Rakhi got three more goals (14th, 18th, 28th minutes) to seal the win for the Sector 18 team.

Earlier, Bhawna struck thrice as Government Model High School, Sector 42, logged a 5-0 win against Rock Rovers to claim the third position. 

Aarti put the Sector 42 team ahead in the third minute, before getting her second in the 10th minute. Thereafter, Bhawna (14th, 16th, 20th) scored three goals to confirm an easy win for the Sector 42 team.
