Rally against child poverty organised

PATIALA:The NSS unit of the University College, Miranpur, organised a rally against child poverty from college to Devigarh town of the district.

Patiala, October 19

The NSS unit of the University College, Miranpur, organised a rally against child poverty from college to Devigarh town of the district. In the rally, students raised awareness of the issue, while chanting slogans of ‘Eliminate child poverty’ and collectively committed towards eliminating child poverty. About 70 volunteers from the NSS unit of the college participated in the rally.

Addressing the students, Tejinder Pal Singh said that today’s rally is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Convention on the Rights of the Child. He said that they should follow the principle of ‘vand chako’ laid down by Guru Nanak to mark his 550th birth anniversary.
