Residents of Dera Bassi society seek amenities

DERA BASSI: Seeking the amenities promised by the builder, residents of ATS Golf Meadows at Dera Bassi submitted a memorandum to the Dera Bassi SDM in this regard.

Dera Bassi, July 9

Seeking the amenities promised by the builder, residents of ATS Golf Meadows at Dera Bassi submitted a memorandum to the Dera Bassi SDM in this regard.

As per the residents, one of the main issues was the passing of a nullah near the society, forcing them to bear the foul smell emanating from it. They rued that the authorities concerned had been approached repeatedly to find a solution to this problem but to no avail.

Advocate Gian Singh, a resident of the society, said the condition of the nullah got worse in the rainy season. “The civic body should take some steps to address the issue at the earliest,” he added.

Another issue is of the approach road, which is yet to come up. The residents said they use another road to reach other parts of the city. The residents said even a brief spell of rain was enough to inundate it.

Meanwhile, Officials of the ATS management said they did fulfil their promises, adding that the remaining amenities would be provided soon. — OC
