Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Rugby Football Association will organise the 1st British Rugby Junior State (Boys & Girls) Championship at Panjab University, from May 21 to 22.



Chandigarh:  The Chandigarh Rugby Football Association will organise the 1st British Rugby Junior State (Boys & Girls) Championship at Panjab University, from May 21 to 22. The players born on or after January 1, 2001 will be eligible to participate in the championship. The interested teams should submit their entries-- duly verified by respective principals-- before May 20 at The British School, Sector 44. TNS

NWCA boys log easy victory 

Panchkula: NWCA boys registered a 26-run win over GCA in the ongoing DA Alan Cricket Cup, here today. Batting first, NWCA posted 156 runs before getting all out in 37 overs. Pratham (51 off 58 balls) was the only main run scorer for the side. Ritik remained the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 4/16, while Gurtaj (2/23) and Gurmeher (2/42) were the other main wicket takers for the bowling side. In reply, GCA bundled out at 130 runs in 35.4 overs. Ritik (30) and Gurtaj (19) were the only two main scorers in the chase. Pratham (4/17) and Ivraj (3/20) were the main wicket takers for the bowling side. TNS
