Saupin’s, Satluj School move into semifinals

Saupin’s Public School, Sector 9, played a 1-1 draw against Vivek High School, Chandigarh, in a six-a-side football league match at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, here, on Saturday. 

Saupin’s boys, however, lost 1-0 to Vivek International School, Baddi, in their second match of the day.

Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, played out a goalless draw against Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore, while the hosts Satluj School drubbed Shemford Futuristic School 5-0. Saurabh scored a hat-trick, while Prabhat struck a brace for the winners. 

Prabhat scored the opening goal for Satluj School in the second minute. Three minutes later, Saurabh doubled the lead, while Prabhat completed his brace in the seventh minute to stretch the lead to 3-0.

In the second half, Saurabh scored in the 23rd and 28th minutes to ensure an easy victory for the hosts.

Satluj Public School will face Vivek International School, Baddi, while Vivek High School, Sector 38, will play Saupin’s School in the semifinals on Sunday.
