'Bachpan', the annual function of the junior wing of Shishu Niketan, Mohali, was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm. Students presented group songs, skits, yoga and role play. Awards were also given to students who performed well in various co-curricular activities. Students presented bhangra.

SKY World, Panchkula

SKY World School organised its annual mini-Olympics where Gian Chand Gupta, Cabinet Minister, Panchkula, was honoured as the chief guest. Tiny tots displayed sportsmanship and enthralled the audience in jelly fish race, pyramid race, and frog race. The event began with a welcome dance and speech by Director Principal Santosh Bhandari.

Learning Paths School, Mohali

Students of Class XI of Learning Paths School, Mohali, bid farewell to their seniors duirng a function at the school auditorium. Students presented a cultural bonanza of songs, dances and games. The highlight of the day was a comic dance performance by students and teachers who enthralled the gathering with their rhythmic and unique steps. 

Modern Ways Model, Chandigarh

Modern Ways Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 29-C, Chandigarh, paid tributes to the CRPF jawans matyred in the Pulwama attack. Students and teachers observed two-minute silence for peace to the departed souls.

St Xavier’s, Mohali

Games for the staff were organised at the school premises. Xavarian Staff Volleyball Tournament was held. White Team was the winner and the first runner up was Red Team followed by Black Team. Also, for the staff, one-minute games were organised. The first prize was won by Kamaljeet Kaur (Mohali branch) and the runner-up was Manju (Mohali branch).

Sri Guru Harkrishan School

Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, organised an excursion to Kurukshetra- ‘An abode of cultural and scientific confluence’ for students of Classes VI to IX and teachers. The trip was financed by the Department of Science and Technology, Chandigarh. Students were enjoyed visiting Krishna Museum, Brahma Sarover, Kalpana Chawla Planetarium and The Panorama.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public 

Chandigarh: Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public School in Sector 35-B here celebrated 'Ardas Diwas' on Monday to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. The highlights of the programme were the recital of hymns by students and Bhai Sukhdeep Singh of Damdami Taksal. School principal Kanwaljit Kaur read out the annual report. The meritorious students, including winners of sports and extra-curricular activities, were honoured. School magazine 'Parkash' was released on the occasion. Langar was served to the gathering after the programme. TNS
