Six teams to monitor fly menace in Barwala, Raipur Rani

Taking a serious note on the issue of fly menace in the Barwala and Raipur Rani areas, the district administration today warned poultry farm owners to immediately find out ways to get rid of the problem or face action.

While giving clear directions to poultry farm owners to initiate steps to rid the area of fly menace affecting health of the people Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mukul Kumar today said, “The district administration will not hesitate to initiate process for closure of poultry farms.”

While presiding over a meeting with poultry farm owners of the district the DC said, “Six teams have been constituted by the district administration, which will continuously check poultry farms for any violations.”

“The interest of the public is paramount and those found reluctant in compliance of instructions will be dealt with strictly. Poultry farm owners must take concrete steps to get rid of the problem and also ensure medicines in the feed as well as spray at fixed time,” he added.

The DC also specifically asked the District Poultry Farm Association president to select six members of the association and give their names to the SDM so that compliance of the instructions on poultry farms could be ensured properly.

“The SDM will hold a review meeting on every Friday. I will also convene a review meeting after 15 days,” the DC said.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Kamaldeep Goyal said, “Strict action will be taken against poultry farms owners showing negligence. District Poultry Farm Association will also have to shortlist such farms, which are not implementing instructions.”
