CHANDIGARH:In a relief to the residents of the Modern Housing Complex (MHC), Mani Majra, Municipal Corporation (MC) officials have decided to start development works related to the area soon.

Chandigarh, December 5

In a relief to the residents of the Modern Housing Complex (MHC), Mani Majra, Municipal Corporation (MC) officials have decided to start development works related to the area soon.

Chief Engineer Manoj Kumar Bansal, along with SE (Public Health) Sanjay Arora and Executive Engineer ID Sharma, visited the office of the Residents Welfare Association, MHC, today to discuss the issues pertaining to the area. The MC officials were shown the waterlogged areas. The issue of replacement of old water supply pipes was discussed in detail. 

RWA president Col Gursewak Singh briefed the MC team about the development issues.

The Chief Engineer assured prompt action on the issues and that pending works would begin soon. Col Gursewak Singh also raised the issue of unfinished work of recarpeting the garage lanes.

The problems being faced by the MHC residents was highlighted in these columns on December 4. The report mentioned that the RWA demanded installation of CCTV cameras, setting up an e-Sampark Centre in the area, pruning of overgrown trees, recarpeting of the parking area and upkeep of the MHC market.  — TNS
