St Joseph’s girls make a winning start

CHANDIGARH:St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, defeated Vivekanand Public School, Pinjore, 3-0 in the opening match of the CBSE North Zone Football Tournament at the Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, here, on Saturday.

St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, defeated Vivekanand Public School, Pinjore, 3-0 in the opening match of the CBSE North Zone Football Tournament at the Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, here, on Saturday. 

Vanshika scored the first goal for St Joseph’s in the fifth minute, while Khushi doubled the lead 10 minutes later. Yutika then struck in the 32nd minute to seal a 3-0 win for the side.

Pathseekers School, Amritsar, registered a 2-0 win over PML SD Public School, Sector 32. Ankita (5th, 85th) scored both the goals for Pathseekers. 

Shiwani (4th) and Sonam (7th), meanwhile, scored a goal each to help Stanford School, Sonipat, register a 2-0 win over Vivekanand Millennium School, Pinjore.
