Strawberry Fields bag twin titles

Strawberry Fields High School (Sector 26) won twin titles on the concluding day of the 7th Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament, here today.  In a closely contented girls' U-16 final, Strawberry Fields School posted a 27-26 win over Guru Nanak Public School (Sector 36). Kismat  (11 points) was the main performer for the title winner, while Sherya (7 points) gathered maximum points for  the Sector 36. 

Strawberry School boys won the U-16 title by defeating Guru Nanak Public School 67-48. Vaibhav confirmed the team's victory by contributing 43 points in the points' tally. Dhurvraj (33 points) was the main performer for Guru Nanak School team. 

St Kabir School (Sector 26) won the girls' U-12 title as they logged a 16-4 win over Saupin's School (Sector 32). Kyna alone scored 10 points for the winning side, while Simranpreet gathered all four points for Saupin's School. 

Saupin's School meanwhile won the boys' U-12 title. The side defeated Police Public School (Mohali) 13-11 in a tough fight. Saket (6 points) was the only main performer for the Saupin's School. Somveer gathered all 11 points for Police Public School team. 

Learning Paths School (Mohali) defeated Vivek High School (Sector 38) 70-66 to win the boys' U-14 final. Vedansh (14 points) was the sole best performer for the Mohali outfit. Uddish (14 points) scored majority of points for the Sector 38 team. Vivek High meanwhile compensated the loss by winning the girls' U-14 title. 

They defeated Strawberry Fields High School 25-24. Tarushi (17 points) scored maximum points for the winning team, while Mandira (20 points) shined for Strawberry School.
