Students from across states take part in CGC event

KHARAR:The Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, organised a state-level cultural function — Fashionista.

The Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, organised a state-level cultural function — Fashionista. 

Various schools from Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana and other adjoining states were part of the function. As many as 1,177 students from the schools, including Mata Sahib Kaur, Sawara; DAV School, Patiala; Government School, Old Police Line Patiala; Scholar’s Field School, Patiala; and Doon Public School, participated in the event.

 Rimple Sharma, a renowned fashion designer, physiotherapist and soft skill trainer was the chief guest. During the function, various cultural events such as rangoli, poster-making, food-without-fire, card making, quiz competition, just-a-minute and speech competition were arranged. 

On the basis of number of prizes won, Scholar’s Field School from Patiala, Doon Public School from Panchkula and DAV Public School from Patiala, bagged the first, second and third position, respectively. They were given cash prizes, along with trophies and certificates. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, president, CGC, was also present. — TNS
