Patriotic fervour and devotional aura pervaded at Tagore Theatre as Bollywood playback singer and performer Anuradha Paudwal performed during a ‘Bhajan Yatra’, which was dedicated to Pulwama warriors, here on Friday.
The event was organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC).
The progamme commenced with Dr Saubhagya Vardhan, NZCC director, paying tribute to Pulwama martyrs with soulful recital of poet Neeraj’s poem ‘Sawan nahin maar karta hai’ before Paudwal took the stage to cast a devotional spell.
She rendered the ‘gayatri mantra’ in her melodious voice before her popular bhajan ‘O palan haarey’. She doled out more melodic numbers such as ‘Bancvari re’, ‘Jot se jot jagate chlo’, ‘Mann mere mandir’ and a ‘shabad’. Her co-singer Rajiv Chopra presented a bhajan.
Dr Saubhgya Vardhan and Kamal Arora, CSNA Chairman, honoured the artistes.
