CHANDIGARH:Three members of a family have been arrested for thrashing their neighbours, including a woman, at Mani Majra.



Chandigarh, May 23 

Three members of a family have been arrested for thrashing their neighbours, including a woman, at Mani Majra. 

The complainant, Bhoop Singh of New Indra Colony, reported that Raju (21), Deepak (18) and Ram Avtar thrashed him and his wife on May 21. The accused also threatened the couple. 

The police arrived at the spot on getting information about the incident.

Later, a case under Sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 452 (house trespass after preparation of hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against the accused. — TNS
