Three injured as gunshots fired in Ambala’s Topkhana Bazaar

BALA: Three men sustained bullet injuries in a firing incident near Topkhana Bazaar area here late on Wednesday night.

Three men sustained bullet injuries in a firing incident near Topkhana Bazaar area here late on Wednesday night.

The injured have been identified as Manish, Jeetu and Sonu. They were sitting in a car when some people opened fire at the car.

While Manish and Jeetu have been referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, Sonu is undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment.

Sources said the victims were involved in a kidnapping case, reported in September this year, and the incident was fallout of the abduction.

Ambala Cantonment DSP Ram Kumar said, “Three men have sustained bullet injuries. They were booked in a kidnapping case in September. While two of them had got bail a few days ago, Jeetu was granted bail today itself. They have accused the people with whom they (injured) had dispute in September of attacking them. Acting on their complaint, the CIA teams have been launched a hunt to nab the suspects. More than five shots have been fired.” TNS
