Two-day NASA space app event begins at CU

KHARAR:“To term any nation like India as a superpower, it is important to invest heavily in the field of science and technology so that the futuristic products and technologies can be indigenously developed,” said Dr Praveen Kumar Khosla, Associate Director, Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL).

“To term any nation like India as a superpower, it is important to invest heavily in the field of science and technology so that the futuristic products and technologies can be indigenously developed,” said Dr Praveen Kumar Khosla, Associate Director, Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL).

Renowned scientists and freelance app developers are participating in the two-day NASA Space App Challenge, where they will interact with the students through technological sessions and apprise them of latest developments in the emerging fields of space exploration and app development.

Khosla was speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the NASA Space App Development Competition on Chandigarh University campus. Teams from 30 universities and colleges are participating in the competition. 

The participating teams will have to develop mobile apps which can be used by space scientists to explore mysteries of the universe.

The competition comprises 48-hour non-stop hackathon. The students will take part in developing the next generation of technologies that can be used in the field of Aerospace.
