Two killed as pick up, tanker collide

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Two persons were killed on the spot during a head on collusion between the Mohindra pick up van and Tanker on the Sirhind-Patiala highway at Kharora village on Sunday.

Two persons were killed on the spot during a head on collusion between the Mohindra pick up van and Tanker on the Sirhind-Patiala highway at Kharora village on Sunday. ASI Sukhwinder Singh said the Mohindra pick up van on its way from Sirsa (Haryana) to Sundar Nagar in Himachal, when it collided head on with the Tanker.

The driver and cleaner of the pickup van died on the spot. They were identified as driver Vipan Kumar and cleaner Kalu Ram. Their bodies were taken out of the pick up van with difficulty and taken to the Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib.

The ASI said they were going to bring vegetables from Himachal. The driver of the tanker fled from the spot, he added. The police had taken the Canter into custody and a case had been registered in this connection, he said.
