Two months on, 3 held for robbing auto driver

CHANDIGARH:Two months after three motorcycle-borne miscreants robbed an auto driver of Rs 3,000 and two mobile phones at knifepoint, the UT police have arrested the suspects.

Two months after three motorcycle-borne miscreants robbed an auto driver of Rs 3,000 and two mobile phones at knifepoint, the UT police have arrested the suspects.

The complainant, Arun Kumar, a resident of Mauli Jagran, was going towards Tribune Chowk in his auto on October 6 when the suspects stopped him at the GMCH-32 roundabout on the pretext of asking way to Zirakpur.

As the victim was telling the way, one of the suspects allegedly threatened him with a knife while the other two robbed him.

A case was registered at the Sector 31 police station. The police said the suspects, Jaswinder Singh, alias Vicky, a resident of Rajpura, Sachin, alias Akshay, and Shanny, both residents of Sector 25, had been arrested.
