Kharar, October 18
A team of the Vigilance Department visited the Kharar grain market on Thursday and inspected the ongoing purchase and lifting of paddy.
Sources said a team, headed by DSP Ravinder Singh, visited the grain market to make sure that farmers were not being hassled and procurement of paddy was smooth. During checking, it was found that lifting of purchased paddy was slow. Photocopies of records about the purchased paddy and its lifting were taken by the department. — OC
