Vistadome coach to be introduced on Kalka-Shimla section

CHANDIGARH: Ambala Division of the Northern Railways will introduce a Vistadome coach on the world heritage Kalka-Shimla section from December 11.

Ambala Division of the Northern Railways will introduce a Vistadome coach on the world heritage Kalka-Shimla section from December 11.

“The coach will be attached in train No. 52453/52454. Vistadome coach will be attraction for the tourists,” said Ambala Division officials.

“This coach will have a seating capacity of 36 seats, have a glass roof, modified windows and air conditioning system,” they added. “It will comprise designer LED lights, window blinds and cushioned wooden interiors. This coach also known as ‘Nihaar’, is a first of its kind on this section,” they said.

“Passengers can book their seats through passenger reservation system for the Vistadome Coach. Fare for one passenger is Rs 130 while for a child is Rs 70 for this coach. Now, passengers can enjoy beautiful scenic view of the Himalayas,” said officials of the Ambala Division.
