More than 1,200 students of Vivek High School, Mohali, today hosted the annual athletics meet and field display, ‘A Clarion Call - Fit Hai To Hit Hai’, at GMADA Sports Complex , Sector 78 , wherein students showcased their sporting prowess and performing skills.
The event was declared opened with a march past followed by yoga and drills with superb co-ordination, poise and rhythm.
The rhythmic stretching and flexing feats of the students with salsa followed by zumba showing agility and zeal had the audience totally mesmerised. The bhangra dancers brought everyone on their feet.
The winners were awarded trophies. The day concluded with the National Anthem
While inaugurating the annual sports and field display day, Nilu Sarin, Principal, Vivek High School, Mohali, said such an endeavour gives boost to children. The habit of sportsmanship needs to be inculcated in children right from the beginning.” — TNS
