PATIALA:In order to observe the momentous occasion of “International Day of the Book” the authorities of MM Modi College formally released “Ruminations”, a volume comprising exclusive book appraisals.

In order to observe the momentous occasion of “International Day of the Book” the authorities of MM Modi College formally released “Ruminations”, a volume comprising exclusive book appraisals. The book was released by Arpit Gupta, an alumnus of Modi College, who cracked Civil Services exam, recently. 

The guest of honour at the book release function was Ajaiveer Singh Sarao, Deputy Director, Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Punjab. 

Dr Baljinder Kaur, head, Department of English, formally introduced the chief guest and the guest of honour. She said, “The book is an effort to cultivate healthy reading habits among our students.”

College Principal, Dr Khushvinder Kumar, said the volume comprised selective books of philosophy, science, arts, management, computer and commerce streams. 

He emphasised on adopting inter-disciplinary and pro-digital approach for selection and interpretation of new knowledge streams.

While addressing participants, Amit Gupta congratulated the college authorities for maintaining conducive learning environment and cultivating high-quality educational values among students. 

He also shared his experience and struggle on the road to success with students present during the function.

Sarao congratulated students and the staff for compiling quality reviews of different books.
