The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday decided to extend relaxation to wards of armed forces, including military and paramilitary forces personnel, fighting terrorism and left-wing extremism for the country and martyred in the line of duty.
The relaxation by the board comes in wake of the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed last week.
Their wards appearing for the 1019 board exams will be allowed to change the examination centre in the same city or to another city.
If any of their wards have missed the practical examination, the same will be conducted by their school by April 10. Such candidates will also be allowed to appear for exams in any offered subjects later.
Candidates can make a request to in this regard to their school. The school will send their request to regional officer concerned latest by February 28.
