Water boost for Sec 30 residents

CHANDIGARH: Devinder Singh Babla, councillor, Ward No. 18, on Saturday launched a Rs38.92-lakh project for construction of an underground reservoir of 1 lakh gallon capacity in Sector 30-A here.

Devinder Singh Babla, councillor, Ward No. 18, on Saturday launched a Rs38.92-lakh project for construction of an underground reservoir of 1 lakh gallon capacity in Sector 30-A here.

The project, which was launched under the augmentation scheme, will also see boosting arrangement being made at the site. MC officials, city Congress leaders and prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion. Babla said area residents had been complaining about low water pressure and supply. He said in three months, residents of Sector 30-A and B would get sufficient water supply with adequate pressure.
