Chandigarh, August 14

A local court has framed murder charges against a woman, along with her paramour and his friend, for the death of her husband.

On April 10, Dharmender (38), a resident of Sector 52, was found murdered at a park in Sector 52, after which the police had arrested his wife Seema (29), her paramour Ram Kumar (23) and his friend Omkar.

Charges have now been framed against the trio under Sections 302 (murder) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

The police claimed that Seema was in an illicit relationship with Ram Kumar, following which they hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Dharmender.

According to the police, the victim knew that Ram Kumar had an illicit affair with his wife, due to which he used to have arguments with her.

On the day of the incident, Ram Kumar took the victim along with him on the pretext of talking to him. Ram allegedly thrashed the victim and attacked him with bricks and stones. During the scuffle, Ram Kumar’s shirt was torn, following which he asked Omkar to bring a shirt to the spot.
