Yashas, Prisha bag chess gold

PANCHKULA:Yashas Mohan won the boys' U-7 category gold, while Damyenti Saxena claimed girls’ U-7 title on the concluding day of the XXIV Haryana State Chess Championship at The British School, Sector 8, today.

Yashas Mohan won the boys' U-7 category gold, while Damyenti Saxena claimed girls’ U-7 title on the concluding day of the XXIV Haryana State Chess Championship at The British School, Sector 8, today. 

Akshat Bansal and Adhiraj claimed the second and third position, respectively, in the boy's category. Prisha Pahuja claimed the second position in the girls' category, while Mahreet Kaur ended her campaign on the third spot. 

In the boys’ U-15 category, Harshit Vij, Vibhaan and Manan Goyal claimed the top three positions, respectively. Navya Tayal claimed the top spot in girls’ U-15 category, followed by Manya Sharma at second position and Riddhika Kotia at third. 

Uttam Prakash Sharma won the boys’ U-19 gold by defeating Aaditya Dhingra, while Samarth Mittal finished third. In the girls’ U-19 category, Tanishka Kotia, Juhi Bajaj and Akshika Mittal won the top three positions, respectively. —TNS
