4 juveniles held for killing man for mobile phone

Four juveniles and a man were arrested for allegedly killing a person while robbing his costly Android mobile to satisfy their lust for drugs, said a police official.

On October 20, PCR received a call regarding a man stabbed multiple times by three to four unknown persons in Aman Vihar, Outer District. The injured was rushed to SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri. Wherein, the victim was identified as Noshad, a resident of Aman Vihar, and was declared brought dead.

Based on a tip-off that the accused would come at Central Park in Sultanpuri on October 22, a trap was laid at the spot. Around 8 pm, the raiding team noticed one of the perpetrators in the park. Subsequently, the team nabbed the accused though he tried to flee the spot, , said DCP Seju P Kuruvilla (Outer District).

The accused disclosed himself to be a juvenile. He said that he, along with his three other juvenile accomplices, killed Noshad while robbing his mobile. After committing the crime, they went to Imran (21), who destroyed the robbed mobile phone. Thereafter, rest of all the remaining accused, including Imran, were apprehended at the instance of the juvenile, he said. — TNS
