413 cartons of liquor seized

NEW DELHI:The police have seized a huge haul of liquor and arrested two bootleggers in this connection, said a police official.



New Delhi, April 18

The police have seized a huge haul of liquor and arrested two bootleggers in this connection, said a police official. The police have also seized 413 cartons of liquor.

In order to nab smugglers  of liquor, the police intensified patrolling and pickets were strengthened in the area. Secret informers were also deployed and vigil was kept on the movement of bootleggers, he said.

On April 17, the police after getting information, conducted a raid  at Lajpat Nagar. The police reached near abandoned railway accommodations wher four persons carrying sacks on their back were going towards Madrasi Camp.

On seeing the police, they started running. The police team chased and apprehended two while remaining two managed to flee, he added. — TNS
