New Delhi: Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan, an initiative by The Ponty Chadha Foundation, on Friday received the National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities from Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu. The award was received by Shanam Chadha, foundation trustee, at a function organised here by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The institution received the award under the category of ‘Best Institution Working for Cause of Persons with Disabilities’. — TNS
