Domestic help held for theft

NEW DELHI:A woman domestic help was arrested in connection with a house theft.



New Delhi, May 19

A woman domestic help was arrested in connection with a house theft. Jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh and Rs 62,000 were recovered from her, said a police official.

On Friday, an incident of house theft was reported at the Subhash Place Police Station by a resident of  Pitampura. She said she hired a domestic help namely Khushboo about 20 days ago.

On Friday, Khushboo left her house on the pretext of some emergency. After this, the complainant realised that some jewellery and money were missing.

During investigation, police checked various CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity and during analysis of the footage, the alleged was found roaming in the area of I-Block, Shakurpur, he said.

Police traced the address of the accused in JJ colony, Shakurpur. She was apprehended from her rented house yesterday and it was found that she was in planning for going to her native place Bihar on the same day. — TNS
