Min writes to CS to probe into DSSSB casteist question

Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam today wrote to Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash seeking a probe into a controversial caste-based question in an examination for primary teachers.

He asked him to fix responsibility for the lapse after thoroughly probing the role of paper setters and scrutinisers and a report may be submitted on the action taken against the erring officials.

The minister for the department of Social Welfare, SC & ST, said he has received a number of complaints from the Scheduled Caste community members regarding “inappropriate use” of their caste.
