NEW DELHI: In view of a large gathering in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) rally, ''Dharma Sansad'' at Ramlila Ground tomorrow, the Delhi Traffic Police today issued advisory to ensure safety of people.

In view of a large gathering in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) rally, 'Dharma Sansad' at Ramlila Ground tomorrow, the Delhi Traffic Police today issued advisory to ensure safety of people.

Joint Commissioner (Traffic) Alok Kumar said no traffic will be allowed on Ranjeet Singh Flyover from Guru Nanak Chowk to Barakhamba Road, Vivekanand Marg (both sides), JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate, Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk, Chaman Lal Marg near VIP Gate and Ramlila Maidan.

Commercial vehicles will not be allowed on JLN Marg from Rajghat to Ajmeri Gate, on Deen Dayal Upadhya Marg from ITO to Minto Road, DeshBandhu Gupta Road from Paharganj Chowk and Y point Sheela Cinema to Ajmeri Gate, Asaf Ali Road, Sharaddhanand Marg, Barakhamba Tolstoy Marg towards Guru Nanak Chowk.

Roads likely to be affected are Ring Road from Sarai Kale Khan to Chandgiram Akhara, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Netaji Subash Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg,Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, Minto Road, Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Desh Bandhu Gupta Road, Shraddhanand Marg, Ajmeri Gate side of New Delhi Railway Station and ITO, he added. On the basis of real time situation, necessary diversion of vehicular traffic may be made in some areas, he added.

The police has also beefed up the security in the city. It received intelligence inputs that the members of some right-wing groups might take out  motorcycle rallies in some Muslim-dominated areas in the city.

Meanwhile, police sources say no group has sought permission for motorcycle rally in the city. The permission has been given only to the VHP to hold rally.

Some organisations, according to sources, have pasted posters on walls saying that Babri Masjid should be rebuilt. Stepping in, the police has beefed up its security arrangements and the Commissioner of Police had a meeting with the DCPs of all the districts and instructed to maintain the law and order situation in their respective areas.
