BJP leaders come out against Cong MLA Rinku

JALANDHAR: BJP leaders Amit Taneja and Sheetal Angural said today that Jalandhar West Congress MLA Sushil Rinku had adopted double standards while getting the MC demolition exercise stalled in his constituency on Friday.

Jalandhar, October 15

BJP leaders Amit Taneja and Sheetal Angural said today that Jalandhar West Congress MLA Sushil Rinku had adopted double standards while getting the MC demolition exercise stalled in his constituency on Friday.

Taneja, who is the state head of the BJP social media and digital communication, said while Rinku had been himself vocal over inaction against encroachments and violations in buildings of Karan Enclave, Phase II, during his last tenure as a councillor, he had now chosen to stall them after becoming the MLA.

The leaders also pointed out that since the property rate was Rs 5 lakh for a marla in the area, which is far from the reach of the poor, the MLA certainly was not defending the poor as per his claim.

The duo said the way Rinku dealt with IAS officer Aashika Jain did not certainly behove of an MLA. —TNS
