Amloh: As many as 382 patients were examined during a free cancer awareness camp, organised by the Jagda Samaj Welfare Club, Amloh, in association with Cancer Care Charitable Trust.



Amloh: As many as 382 patients were examined during a free cancer awareness camp, organised by the Jagda Samaj Welfare Club, Amloh, in association with Cancer Care Charitable Trust. It was inaugurated by five girls. The State Bank of India, Amloh, and Satinder Singh from the USA supported the initiative. The chief guest on the occasion was Ram Krishan Bhalla, PA to local MLA Kaka Randeep Singh.TNS 

Pedestrian killed

Phagwara: A pedestrian, Bhaghan Singh, a resident of Khotrra village, was killed on the spot when a speeding bus hit him near Chachoki village on the  National highways on Sunday night. The police have registered a case against the bus driver, who managed to escape from the spot. The body of the victim has been sent to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.OC

Candle march held 

Phagwara: Residents of the city held a candle march in the memory of those, who were killed during the train accident on Dasehra, in Amristar, was organised at Hargobind Nagar locality here on Sunday night. Former MLA, Joginder Singh Maan, led the march. Block Congress Committee (Urban) president Sanjeev Bugga; Block Congress Committee president (Rural) Daljit 

Raju; councillors Ram Paul Uppal, Jatinder Vermani and 

Munish Parbhakar were also present on the occasion. Two minutes silence was also observed to pay tributes to the departed souls.OC
