Jalandhar: An event, ‘Talent Hunt Jashan-E-Hunar’ competiton, was organised at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya.



Jalandhar: An event, ‘Talent Hunt Jashan-E-Hunar’ competiton, was organised at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The department of the youth welfare of the college conducted the competition in various categories. Principal Ajay Sareen was the chief guest. Navroop Kaur, Dean, Youth Welfare, Shama Sharma, coordinator and Meenu Kundra, co-dean, welcomed the chief guest. The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp and ‘DAV gaan’. Students took part in poetry recitation, debate, declamation, dance, theatre and singing competitions. The principal congratulated the winners. TNS

Grant to set up Kaushal Kendra

Jalandhar: Apeejay College of Fine Arts got Rs 5 crore from University Grants Commission (UGC) to set up ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra’ on its campus. With this grant, the college is going to begin new vocational courses, which are mainly directed to promote employment skills. Principal Sucharita Sharma talked about the already established courses. Teej celebrations

Jalandhar: Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School, Sangal Sohal, Variana, celebrated Teej. The traditional costumes of students and faculty added to enhance the charm and mood of the celebrations. Principal Priyanka Sharma extended greetings to the students and faculty members. TNS
