JALANDHAR:Following granting of conditional bail to ex-Bishop Franco Mulakkal by the Kerala High Court today, the members of the Christian community today gathered at the Bishop House for celebration.

Following granting of conditional bail to ex-Bishop Franco Mulakkal by the Kerala High Court today, the members of the Christian community today gathered at the Bishop House for celebration.

They performed bhangra on the beats of dhol and distributed sweets. Julius Victor from the office of the spokesperson for Jalandhar Diocese said the community was now waiting for the return of ex-Bishop Franco. As pastors and nuns gathered today, there was an arrangement of lunch for them. 

The newly-appointed   administrator Agnelo Gracias was said to be away for a programme. Yesterday, the priests had gathered at St Joseph’s Boys’ School and held a rosary programme. Later, they held a candle light march in the city, to pray for ex-Bishop Franco.
