Two arrested in carjacking case

Phagwara: The Goraya police on Wednesday arrested two suspects, who were involved in forcibly taking away an Alto Car from Vikramjit, a resident of  Goraya, on November 19 and recovered the car (bearing registration number PB 08K 5485) and a toy pistol from their possession. Goraya  SHO Kewal Singh said the arrested suspects were identified as Amandeep and Avtar Chand, both residents of Goraya. OC

Two held with intoxicants

Phagwara: The Goraya police seized 285 intoxicating injections from two persons and arrested them. The suspects have been identified as Varinder Singh, alias Vikki, a resident of Basti Baba Khel, Jalandhar, and Tarun Chobba, of Virk village. A total of 270 injections were recovered from Vikki and 15 from Tarun. Two separate cases under the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused, said the police. OC
