Jalandhar, October 11

Having hogged limelight by performing in the famous Luv-Kush Ram- Leela held at Red Fort, New Delhi, last year, the Union MoS Vijay Sampla has once again shown his acting skills ahead of Dasehra.

While last year, he donned the role of Nishadraj, this time he picked the role of Raja Himalaya, father of Goddess Parvati. Sampla even live streamed his 15-minute role in the Ram Leela on his official Facebook page last evening and his photographs in the green attire began doing rounds on social media.

The ex-BJP president, Sampla, won accolades for his different role. Asked about the same, Sampla said, “He was simply following his passion. I have always wanted to perform in Ram Leela. I had a fantastic experience last time which I did not want to miss this time too.”

On his journey from politics to acting, he said, “The Ram Leela team had been requesting me to perform. I did a 5-6 minute role on stage. This time too I had confirmed them about my presence. So, I came to Delhi, rehearsed and went to perform again.” —TNS
